Move Compassionately: A Guided Approach is a comprehensive, heart-centered service designed to support your parents through every step of a major life transition. We bring together a trusted team of professionals who work seamlessly on your family’s behalf—an experienced Real Estate Agent to help sell, purchase, or rent a home; an All-Star Moving Company to assist with decluttering, moving, and deep cleaning; a Financial Planner to organize finances and plan confidently for the future; a Move Manager to design and organize a comfortable, functional smaller living space; and a Senior Advisor who answers questions about assisted living options and helps find the community best suited for your parents. Together, we simplify the process, reduce stress, and ensure no detail is overlooked—so your parents feel supported, respected, and cared for every step of the way.

I help families downsize their parents to assisted living or a smaller home- with patience, empathy, and care. I understand this is an emotional time, and my job is to make the process simpler, calmer, and easier for everyone involved—always focusing on what’s best for your family.
Lauren helps families make confident financial decisions during life transitions. With years of experience and a caring, educational approach, she guides clients through planning, investments, and long-term decisions—always focusing on what matters most to their family and values.
Graceful Transitions Senior Advisors was established after I faced the difficult challenge of finding quality care for my dad during his battle with Alzheimer's. Frustrated by this experience, I have dedicated my career to helping other families who are encountering similar challenges. My goal is to provide the necessary resources and support to help them navigate their journey with confidence. My main goal is to help the complexities of finding appropriate assisted living facilities. ​
Transitions often feel overwhelming for many families, especially when all this must be done while you are emotionally struggling with finding a new home for a loved one, what to do with decades and decades of stuff in a home or the unfortunate aftermath of a loved one's passing. Why Move Compassionately
For as long as I can remember, I’ve known I wanted a career rooted in helping others — I just didn’t know what form that help would take. I didn’t want transactional work. I wanted meaningful work. The kind that shows up during life’s big moments and actually makes a difference.
At the same time, I genuinely love real estate in all its forms. Not just the houses, but the stories behind them. The transitions. The emotions. The chapters closing and the new ones beginning. Over time, I realized that real estate isn’t just about property — it’s about people navigating change.
One group has always held a special place in my heart: older adults and their families. I’ve always felt a natural connection to the elderly — listening to their stories, advocating for their dignity, and wanting to make sure they feel respected, seen, and supported. I saw firsthand how overwhelming it can be when aging parents need to downsize, move, or transition into assisted living — and how families often don’t know where to start.
That’s when it clicked.
Move Compassionately was created to remove the confusion, stress, and emotional weight from one of life’s most difficult transitions. By combining my real estate expertise with a relationship-first, heart-forward approach, I built a guided process that supports not just the move — but the people behind it.
This program isn’t about rushing decisions or checking boxes. It’s about kindness, clarity, and care. It’s about honoring a lifetime while helping families move forward with confidence and compassion.
Move Compassionately exists because I believe transitions should be handled with empathy, expertise, and humanity — and because families deserve to feel supported every step of the way.
How It Works:
Michelle will begin by meeting with you and your family at the property, at a time that feels comfortable for you. During this visit, we will go over a simple, easy-to-understand market overview that shows what similar homes in your community have recently sold for. This is meant to provide a general sense of value—without pressure or obligation.

We’ll also take time to talk about the Move Compassionately approach. This includes introducing the trusted companies and vendors who may be able to help, explaining how they support families during times of change, and discussing which options—if any—might be helpful for your specific situation. There is no one-size-fits-all plan; everything is tailored to your needs and comfort level.

I will then explain my role should you choose to work with me. This process goes well beyond simply selling a home. I act as a guide and project manager, helping coordinate details, answer questions, and manage many of the moving pieces—so you and your family don’t have to carry that burden alone.

If you decide to move forward with the Move Compassionately approach, I will return for a second visit. During that time, we will move at your pace as we:

​Review any necessary paperwork together, clearly and calmly walk through the home to gently discuss whether there are any small improvements that could help the home sell well—only if appropriate

After this visit, you will receive a clear, thoughtfully planned timeline and strategy.
